Meet all the soccer balls since the first World Cup (Part 2)

7. Sweden 1958 – Top Star:

A ball with 24 panels in two colours was made on this occasion. The first is in brown and yellow leather and the other in white leather. For the first time, a contest was held to choose it. Pelé scored in the final with the white one.

FIFA organized a contest to choose the ball; from 102 designs that arrived at their offices, they cut off ten and then decided on the number 55. It was manufactured by the Sydsvenska Läder company in Stockholm and sent to the stadiums.

Each team received 30 balls, but some bought more. They were still stamped and brand-free. This model is exhibited in the meeting room of the Rasunda stadium in the Swedish capital. The one used in the final is Brazil because the masseur Mario Américo picked it up.

8. Chile 1962 – Mr Crack:

10. Mexico 1970 – Telstar:

11. Germany 1974 -Telstar Durlast:
